New Delhi, Digital Desk || The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi (PM Modi) will visit Odisha and Uttarakhand tomorrow, January 28, to participate in two major events.
As per the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 at Janata Maidan, Bhubaneswar, at 11 AM. Later in the day, at 6 PM, he will inaugurate the 38th National Games in Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
PM Modi Odisha Visit: Make in Odisha Conclave 2025
Utkarsh Odisha – Make in Odisha Conclave 2025 is Odisha’s premier global investment summit, hosted by the state government. The event is designed to position Odisha as a key player in India’s industrial growth and the Purvodaya vision.
The 2-day conclave, scheduled for January 28-29, will bring together industry leaders, investors, and policymakers to explore investment opportunities. Key activities include CEOs’ and Leaders’ Roundtables, Sectoral Sessions, B2B meetings, and Policy Dialogues.
Narendra Modi will also inaugurate the Make in Odisha Exhibition, which highlights the state’s progress in building a vibrant industrial ecosystem.
PM Modi Uttarakhand Visit: 38th National Games in Uttarakhand
In evening, Prime Minister will travel to Dehradun to open the 38th National Games, hosted by Uttarakhand as part of its Silver Jubilee celebrations. The games will take place across 11 cities in 8 districts from January 28 to February 14.
The event will see participation from 36 states and one union territory, with over 10,000 athletes competing in 35 sports disciplines. Medals will be awarded in 33 sports, while two will be featured as exhibition events.
For first time, Yoga and Mallakhamb will be part of the National Games.
PM Modi News: Focus on Sustainability
This year’s National Games emphasize sustainability under the theme Green Games. A unique Sports Forest will be established near the venue, with over 10,000 saplings planted by athletes and guests. Additionally, medals and certificates for the participants will be made using eco-friendly and biodegradable materials.
PM Narendra Modi’s visit underscores the govt’s commitment to fostering industrial development and promoting sustainable sports initiatives nationwide.
