Odisha News: CM Majhi highlights the state’s key role in India’s growth at the National Mines Ministers’ Conference in Konark.
New Delhi, Digital Desk || Odisha News: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the 3rd National Mines Ministers’ Conference in Konark on Monday, emphasizing Odisha’s crucial role in India’s journey to becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Highlighting the importance of the eastern states, CM Majhi stated that Odisha, along with Chhattisgarh and Jharkhand, supplies more than two-thirds of India’s base metals demand. “These three states will drive the nation’s growth as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi under the ‘Purvodaya Mission,’ and Odisha will play a significant role in this transformation,” Majhi said during his address.
The two-day conference, aimed at exploring opportunities in the mining sector, boosting investments, and driving economic growth, is set to influence the upcoming Utkarsh Odisha Conference scheduled for January 28-29. “Odisha, as the richest mining state in India, stands to attract significant investor interest through this event,” Majhi remarked.
In a social media post, CM Majhi expressed pride in Odisha hosting the prestigious conference. He noted that the state’s abundant mineral resources significantly contribute to India’s industrial and economic development. “This conference is a vital platform for knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and discussions on sustainable mining practices,” he added.
CM Majhi also reiterated Odisha’s commitment to achieving the vision of ‘Viksit Bharat’ by empowering industries like mining through innovative policies. “Under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, Odisha is set to play a pivotal role in unlocking India’s economic potential and fostering a self-reliant nation,” CM said.
